In any planning of a trip, the section of where to eat is essential, at least for us! After finding a good flight, a well-located accommodation and knowing what to visit in the city, we have to know the best places to try the local cuisine. In Prague it is not difficult to find a few, you will see. Here they go 8 restaurants to eat in Prague (good and cheap).

Is a picturesque tavern and quite well known, well, VERY known ... come on, there are more tourists than locals. But for something it will be, the food is rich and the beer runs in abundance. You can try the goulash (€ 8.50), the sausages with potatoes and cabbage (€ 8.50) or dare with the house dish: the pork knuckle It costs 279 czk (about € 10). The dish consisting of ¼ of roasted duck, 100gr of roasted pork, 50gr of sausages, cabbage, bread and potato dumplings (€ 13.50) is a great option if you are very hungry, or to share between two. There are often musicians who play typical songs live, a hoot!

One tip: if they offer you a shot of liquor, you know they charge it, it is not a gift from the house :-p

Good beer (and cheap: 0.50 liter for € 1.60) and homemade food… What else do you want? We loved this place and when we return to Prague (surely soon) we will not hesitate to eat here again. The soup of the day costs € 2.60 and recommended dishes are: beef stew with bohemian potato balls, homemade potato pancakes, hot pepper and onion (€ 8.70) or beef tenderloin with potato balls Bohemia, cranberry sauce and whipped cream (€ 9.30).

The place is very cool (visitors can leave messages on their walls), it has a lot of personality and the atmosphere is informal. It is one of our favorite restaurants to eat in Prague!

If you feel like eating carnaza de la buena, this is your place: this menu Butcher shop He proposes several things such as the plate of 3 types of sausages for about € 3, meatloaf (meatloaf) for € 4 or pulled pork sandwich (€ 6). It is a cheap, informal and perfect option for those who want to eat something fast.

Of course ... it is not a place for vegetarians!

A traditional place, with a menu not too extensive but what is there ... is delicious. Recommended on meat goulash (€ 5.4) and dumplings of stuffed potatoes (€ 6). If you are hungry the same you can opt for knuckle plate (€ 9 approx), one of the recipes you should eat in Prague yes or yes. The truth is that here they prepare it very rich!

Although we are very fans of Eastern European cuisine, it is also true that sometimes we want to eat something more "western" and of course ... a good Burger You never say no. Here they prepare them very well, really. Of course, they are not cheap suuuper but if you do not mind spending something more for about € 12 you will have a top quality hamburger with potatoes and drink.

And of course, if we talk about casual food we can not ignore our favorite gastronomic delight: Pizza. In this place they prepare it very well. Margherita (50 ”) costs about € 6 (for two people), while pizzas with various ingredients (also 50”) are around € 9-10. If the weather is good, order the pizza and take it to the banks of the river or to some square ... it is one of the best plans to do in Prague with sunshine!

It is not a super central place but it is well worth getting close if you are in the area or have several days of time in Prague. Here they wait for you beers for 35 crowns (about € 1.3), Dishes of the day for € 3.5-6 and a quiet and not too touristy environment. A main course of the day, a beer and a dessert cost less € 10. Not bad, right?
